The mission of Holy Apostles Institute is to form and prepare future deacons for ministry, in deep alignment with the Byzantine tradition of Eastern Catholicism. Rooted in the rich history and spirituality of the Eastern Churches, our program provides a comprehensive formation that combines theological education, pastoral training, and spiritual formation. This holistic approach equips deacon candidates with the necessary tools to serve their communities with faith, humility, and competence.
Holy Apostles Institute is proudly affiliated with the Ukrainian Catholic Church, operating under the guidance and authority of the St. Josaphat Eparchy and its bishop, His Excellency Bohdan Danylo. Our institute is committed to serving the broader Eastern Catholic tradition, ensuring that deacons are prepared to minister with fidelity to the unique spiritual and liturgical practices of the Byzantine Rite.
In addition to our partnership with the Ukrainian Catholic Church, we are honored to serve the Romanian Eparchy of Canton and the Eparchy of Samford. As our program expands, we are now welcoming additional Eparchies from the Eastern Catholic tradition into our formation program. We strive to foster a strong, unified community of deacons, supporting the mission of the Church across various Eastern Catholic jurisdictions.
Holy Apostles Institute is committed to fostering an environment where candidates for the diaconate can grow in faith, deepen their knowledge of Church teachings, and be equipped for the pastoral challenges that await them in their service to the Church. Whether it is through liturgical participation, community outreach, or supporting the needs of the faithful, we ensure that those entrusted with the sacred ministry of the diaconate are ready to serve the Church and its mission to the world.
